| EPL-BAS provides
method development and validation services for the agricultural
biotechnology and chemical industries. Our research
scientists have an average of over 20 years of experience
in the areas of pesticide residue and composition, biotech
seed and feed composition, processed fractions, product
contaminants, and functional food and neutraceutical
methods.
Instrumental techniques utilized at EPL-BAS
include:
- High performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass
spectrometry (HPLC/MS/MS)
- HPLC with refractive index, evaporative light scattering,
fluorescence and ultraviolet detection
- Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS)
- GC with flame-ionization, electron capture, and
nitrogen-phosphorous detection.
Analytical procedures for the determination
of metals and minerals in a wide variety of sample matrices
have been developed using inductively coupled plasma
(ICP) spectroscopy. Other techniques include high-resolution
ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, Kjeldahl nitrogen/protein
determination and Karl-Fischer water determination.
Our experienced staff and state-of-the-art
equipment allow for the development of accurate, precise
and rugged methods.
